Meet the Doctor
About Dr. Baptista Kwok, B.Sc., D.D.S.
Dr. Baptista Kwok is from Toronto, Canada. He has had a strong interest in the fields of science, medicine, and engineering since he was young and has developed skills in these areas in the field of dentistry. Dr. Kwok graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Western Ontario in 1992 and completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1996.
Dr. Kwok spent his first four years of practicing dentistry in Canada where he worked as a dentist in a remote rural area and in a metropolitan city. He went on to complete his dental implant training and education from the Carl Misch Implant Institute at the University of Pittsburgh, graduating in 2001.
He earned his Washington State License in the year 2000 and currently maintains a General Family Dentistry practice at the Meadow Creek Professional Center in Issaquah, WA. He offers a range of treatments including wisdom teeth extraction, root canal therapy, white fillings, crowns, bridges, veneers, gum treatment, and full mouth reconstruction.
Dr. Kwok has placed a priority on furthering his education and frequently attends dental lectures and courses to stay up to date with the industry. He participates in a dental implant study club where he collaborates with other dentists on the latest dental implant techniques and developments. He also does volunteer work and provides dental care to migrant worker’s children in Washington and to locals in Cambodia. When he is not providing dentistry services, Dr. Kwok enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and participating in outdoor sport activities.
About Dr. James Ma, B.Sc., D.D.S.
Dr. James Ma is from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Molecular Genetics from the University of Toronto in 1992. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Northwestern University in 1996 and completed a general practice residency at the University of Rochester in New York. He provides general family dentistry services at Apex Dental Care and is also a provider of minor orthodontics with the Invisalign system.
About Dr. Kiki Chow, B.Sc., D.M.D.
Dr. Chow grew up in Vancouver, B.C. and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of British Columbia. After she completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of British Columbia in 2000, she attended a private practice in Richmond, B.C. In 2005, Dr. Chow relocated to Washington state where she now lives with her husband and two young children. When she is not working at the practice, Dr. Chow enjoys traveling, cooking, drawing, and hiking.
About Dr. Ann Hua, B.A., B.Sc., D.M.D.
Dr. Hua grew up in Seattle, Washington and graduated with a B.A. in Linguistics, a B.S. in Biochemistry, and a Minor in Chemistry from the University of Washington in 2004. She moved to Boston, Massachusetts to complete her Doctor in Dental Medicine degree at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. After graduation, she completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Monteflore Medical Center in Bronx, New York. After her residency, she worked at a family-owned general dentistry practice in Dorchester, Massachusetts. She is passionate about helping with third world dental missions and raising awareness about third world dental needs. When she is not working at the practice, Dr. Hua enjoys traveling, running, snowboarding, and hiking.
